After passing the course successfully, students...
· analyse the entire content of the Holy Scriptures from the perspective of the relationship of church and society, and explain the Bible’s message and its relevancy on the role of God’s people in the contemporary society
· analyse different understandings and big questions of mission
· understand the complex relationship between the society and the church in the light of the Biblical teaching and outline ways to increase authentic interactions between the church and the society locally and globally
· transform the information, knowledge and insights gained during the studies of this course into culturally relevant messages, approaches and forms of the missions activities of the Christian church for the contemporary society by using basic methods of hermeneutics and exegesis
· understand, explain and apply the meaning and practice of Christian mission within the context of postmodern epistemology
· outline a complex mission’s plan of a local church, relevant to the contemporary society, correctly addressing the great questions of mission.
